Cork wallpapers appeared on the construction market relatively recently, but have already managed to take strong positions in the preferences of buyers. This is not surprising, because the unusual appearance and naturalness of the components will always be in price. Cork wallpapers are made on a paper basis, on which a cork tree layer is applied with a thickness of 3 mm., are two and single -layer. The properties of cork wallpaper are determined by their main component – a tree, because the cork is a tree consisting of a large number of pores. In this regard, the cork wallpaper is characterized by good heat and sound insulation, light weight and elasticity. The latter is possible thanks to the porous structure, which allows the wallpaper to withstand heavy loads without loss of shape, unlike ordinary wooden material.
This type of wallpaper is convenient in installation work, but requires the acquisition of special glue, which has increased bonding strength. It should be remembered that it is made of wood, cork wallpapers have strong moisture -absorbing properties, and when humidity changes, they can change the shape, both towards its increase and in the direction of decrease. For this reason, the purchased wallpaper should be kept in the room in which you are going to glue them, at least a day. Then the wallpaper is absorbed by excess moisture, if any, and in the future they do not lose their forms.
