Porsche management has repeatedly stated that in the future it plans to significantly increase sales of its cars in order to achieve a stunning result for the premium segment.
It seems that these plans began to be implemented. According to the company’s development strategy in the near future, the model range will expand due to the appearance of a compact sedan, a new supercar and a compact crossover – “Cayenne child”, which received the name Cajun.
The first of this big trinity was Porsche Cajun. This compact SUV is built on the same platform as the Audi Q5.
Our team of photographers-shpions managed to track down the prototype of the SUV, which these days pass road trials in the snow of Sweden. True, the car was disguised as Audi – Q5.
This photo is difficult to judge the design features. With confidence we can only say that Cajun is a little wider than the “brother”.
The new crossover will also receive a line of engines from Audi, including a gas-electrical power plant.
Porsche Cajun debut should take place in 2013, and its sale will begin a year later, in 2014.
