And “Mazda”, as they say, removed all the cream, releasing her new model “Mazda MX-5” to the market.

Unlike MGB, the Mazda MX -5 model was extremely modern – easily controlled and safe, it was convenient and pleasant to ride in it.

The car had all the attributes of the classic design – the surprisingly correct and harmonious location of the details, starting from impressive rear lights to advanced headlights in front, ease of technical performance and sense of comfort while driving. Mazda MX-5 had a great chassis, and a double lever suspension provided it with good handling.

The interior of the salon in the Mazda MX -5 was made in the best sports traditions – there were few electronics, but everything was high -quality and was located with great taste. Criticism caused only too light steering with an amplifier and the inability to go at high speed for a long time, which was explained by the insufficient engine power and its volume, which was only 1.6 liters.

Due to its reasonable price, the car was available to almost every family, every motorist, and therefore it was sold in huge quantities. By general recognition, he was not too competitive in high -speed qualities, but he was very reliable, bright and attractive. In any case, in many markets, the Mazda MX -5 car in the later years of production was sold much better than the cars that have much exceeded it – MGF, Fiat Barchetta and BMW Z3.

For the entire time of the dizzying career, the model in it has changed little. Since 1993, the Mazda MX-5 began to be equipped with a 1.8-liter engine with a volume of fuel injection, however, the production of cars with 1.6-liter engines continued for those who wanted to get acquainted with the model.

In 1997, the company realized that the superuspect “Mazda MX -5” needs to be replaced, but not wanting to lose the gained, all the more since by that time the model had become a world favorite among sports cars, Mazda simply copied it. At that time, the company produced over 400,000 cars “Mazda MX-5”.
