Let’s first deal with the question of what a radiator is? Heat -heated coolant heated to the desired temperature, located in a heating device with liquid heating – this is the radiator. There are four classes of heating systems: panel, tubular, plate and sectional. We will deal with each group separately. Let’s start with panel radiators. They have a rectangular panel, inside of which there is water that they heat. Steel panels belong to the group of convective panels. Concrete and other types belong to a group with lower temperature heating surfaces. Tubular radiators consist of steel tubes located vertically and combine the lower and upper manifolds together. In plate radiators, a heating element is steel or copper tubes on which, there are thin plates and all this is covered with a casing or a decorated grill.
The appearance of panel radiators suggests that the main element of heating, the panel, which is cooked with a steel sheets located vertically, with the inner coolant. So that the heat transfer is larger, the ribs are welded to the back of the panel, in the form of the letter P. The height and width of the panels is diverse and the reaction to temperature change, fast. There is also a lack of such panels, they are very sensitive to hydrouches, poorly protected from corrosion and a small volume of pressure. The top panel is very difficult to clean from dust.
Tubular radiators are both small (0.3 m) and large (3 m).Have from 1 to 6 tubes, the thickness of which can be 1 – 2 mm. They have a small volume of the coolant and therefore, they quickly respond to automation. Radiators are safe in use, as they do not have sharp corners and are well cleaned of dust. The lack of tubular panels, as in the case of panel radiators, they do not have a protective layer from corrosion. A variety of tubular panels is great. There are radiators for drying towels made of stainless steel, black steel with anti -corrosion coating, as well as non -ferrous metals. The most wear -resistant dryers made of stainless metals are highlighted. There is only one deficiency in all dryers, reducing the cross -section of the tubes to complete overlap.
Plastic devices are most common in Russia because of their cheapness and simplicity, they are often used in large buildings. Convectors, as they are called, are very reliable in operation. There are wall, linear, skirting convectors, there are also convectors inserted into the floor, tubular convectors – radiators.
The oldest type of liquid heating is sectional radiators. Sectional radiators are cast -iron, bimetallic, steel and aluminum. Thanks to modern design, these devices have acquired a new life. Cast iron radiators are valuable in that the flow of heat goes through radiation and is evenly distributed around the room, but the big weight is minus. Aluminum radiators, light with a perfectly flat surface, high heat transfer. But sensitivity to chem. The composition of the water, often leads to the destruction of the radiator, sensitive to hydrauliciate. But bimetallic radiators are similar to the advantages, do not have practically disadvantages.
