BMW recalls its cars 7 episodes

The National Directorate for Traffic Safety issued an indication of 45,500 sedans 7 episodes of BMW in the range of 2005-2008.

The review that arose after the NUBD study started in August 2011 is due to a malfunction in the programs that can force cars to roll back when they are parked.

BMW Comfort Access Car Opening System without a key and ignition system is responsible for this problem. With normal functioning, the electronic key turns off the ignition. This system is developed to move the gearbox lever the vehicle to the Parking position automatically after closing the doors. Due to this malfunction, the gearbox lever may remain in a neutral position, and not switch to Parking. If this happens, the car can roll back, potentially damage to other vehicles and pedestrians. Many transport companies in St. Petersburg have such a system in their cars, but these cars have not affected the problem.

The vehicles that this review affects include:

– BMW 745i and 745 2005 release.

– BMW 750i and 750 2006-2008 years of release.

– BMW 760i and 760 2005-2008.

BMW will begin to notify car owners affected by this malfunction in November. But a difficult situation, which, as expected, will involve software update will not be ready until March 2013. Until then, the owners must set the streams themselves in the Parking position or make sure that it has moved automatically.
