Moscow taxi received the right to travel along the allocated lanes for public transport
With the beginning of autumn, the capital’s taxi drivers received new advanced opportunities for their work – from now on they are allowed to move along the road lanes allocated for public transport. Such a decision was made by the capital’s authorities, however, not all private carriers can take advantage of this privilege at the moment. To carry out unhindered passage by discharge, the car must correspond to a number of conditions.
Firstly, the Taxi machine should be yellow and have appropriate yellow license plates. According to the new requirements, after 5 years, all metropolitan taxis should change their color to yellow and have a special nomer of the same coloring. Those owners who have already received legal permission for a private caral can work on any cars over the next 5 years, but they are forbidden to leave for the allocated stripes.
Another indispensable condition for the privileged passage is the presence of a taximeter on board that has a connection to the global satellite navigation system. According to the new order of movement, traveling to the public transport band can only be carried out with the taxi on.
Employees of the Center for Organization of the City Roads will monitor compliance with these rules. In addition, it is planned to almost double the number of parking lots, where there will be exclusively taxi.
